THE GROWING TREE I & II

Program Information
Infant Program
Our caring and experienced staff create a warm, secure environment where infants can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Through gentle interactions, sensory activities, music, tummy time, and age-appropriate play, we encourage early milestones in mobility, communication, and social development.
Your child’s health, safety, and comfort are always our top priorities. We maintain high standards of cleanliness and provide attentive care with feedings, bottles, breast milk, baby food, and daily routines — always with patience and compassion.
We also believe strong communication with families is essential. Our caregivers work closely with parents to follow each child’s individual feeding schedule, sleep routine, and personal care needs, creating consistency between home and daycare.
Preschool/Pre-K Program
Our Preschool and Pre-K Programs provide children with engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Through cooperative play, positive peer interactions, and hands-on activities, children build important social, emotional, and academic skills in a nurturing environment.
At The Growing Tree, we use The Creative Curriculum to guide lesson planning and daily activities. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed with interest areas that encourage exploration in blocks, dramatic play, science and discovery, language arts, math, sensory learning, technology, and outdoor play.
Our Pre-K Program places a strong focus on kindergarten readiness through daily journal activities, phonemic awareness, language development, letter recognition, math, and science exploration.
With a balance of structured learning and guided play, children are encouraged to ask questions, make discoveries, and develop independence as they prepare for the transition to kindergarten.
All students must be fully potty trained to enroll in the Preschool and Pre-K Programs.
Toddler program
Children learn best through active exploration of the world around them. At The Growing Tree, our Toddler Program encourages discovery, curiosity, and hands-on learning through a variety of engaging materials and experiences designed for growing minds.
Our thoughtfully designed classroom provides opportunities for building, literacy, creative arts, dramatic play, sensory exploration, and active indoor and outdoor play — all while encouraging social interaction and independence.
Each child is supported by a primary teacher who nurtures their individual needs and builds a strong connection with their family. Through daily communication and personalized care, our staff becomes a trusted extension of each child’s home environment.
School-Age Program
Our School-Age Program provides families with dependable care in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children enrolled in kindergarten and beyond.
We provide before- and after-school care for students attending West Point Elementary in the Hempfield Area School District and Mountain View Elementary in the Greater Latrobe School District. Both locations also offer care during weather delays, school closures, and other scheduled days off.
During the summer months, children can enroll part-time or full-time and enjoy a variety of fun and enriching activities, including outdoor play, field trips, science projects, summer reading programs, and creative group activities.
Our summer program encourages friendship, teamwork, independence, and active learning while giving children a safe place to make lasting memories.
